Samplings: Teaching and Philosophy

A Brief Philosophy of Pastoral Ministry

The grace of God changes everything, and as a pastor, God has given me the great honor and joy of shepherding his flock. Caring for God’s people is a care for the whole person— head, heart, and hands. All of these God redeems by his good, unmerited grace. When we experience the life that Jesus calls us to in this broken world, we get a glimpse of the way things were meant to be, and the way things will be upon his return. This is the joy of pastoral ministry— equipping God’s people to be witnesses of his grace in a world that rejects truth, makes self-love ultimate, and serves their own desires. God’s grace is bigger, and we get to be a part of his mission!
